However, as difficult as those circumstances might seem today, they literally saved me by causing me to realize that I could retain a position in several online university programs despite the tragic situation.
While almost every teacher in my city lost his or her physical classroom to the storm, I suddenly had the means to teach online on the Internet by working for online programs.
I found myself bringing in an online teaching income while most teachers in my city were heading from the unemployment line.
